I came across a cool little online website submission tool today. I used it to submit this website to several of the more popular search engines and directories. This website almost always had a slow steady flow of traffic with just a few inbound links and such. I did very little to ever promote it. I don’t even think I have submitted it to Google.
There were about five submission errors but out of the 20-30 or so that I submitted to that is not bad at all. I have decided that I will use them again, but I recommend that you use one specific email address other than your main one to do the submissions if you have a lot of websites. If you use your main address expect to be unsubscribing from all the different search engine and directory mailing lists for some time to come.
The link to the search submission website is below and I have provided a box where you can submit your link to them directly.

Pretty much everyone knows that a domain name as an easy to remember way to reach a website on the internet. The most common of the domain name extensions and most recognizable is the .com extension.
Even though most of the good .com names have been taken, there are still a bunch of good ones to be had. When I first started in web design and development in the late 1990’s a domain cost $35 a year plus hosting. The kicker was that you had to buy the domain name for at least two years to register it if available. So $70 for two years plus hosting charges could quickly add up to some hefty fees for owning and operating a website.
These days registering a great domain name couldn’t be cheaper or easier. I prefer GoDaddy for my domain registrations but I have really never used them for hosting. (Remember, a domain name points to your host, a computer server that holds your website.)
As far as domain name registration they have always provided me the best service and support. For sure there are domains that are easily worth the “Big Dogs” fee of $35/year, but for new domain registrations of unregistered or expired domain names they are my top pick.
Welcome to my personal website. I am working on a few projects and ideas and I created this new website on my personal domain for me to keep track of some of them. Hopefully it will be useful for my visitors.
